The Love of Jesus
Of First Importance has a great quote from Milton Vincent's A Gospel Primer for Christians (which is providentially sitting on my bookshelf...unopened).
One thing struck me while I read this. While I sat on my bed being edified by reading of the love of Jesus and how it mortifies desire for sin, I was also listening to West Coast Revival's "Oh the Deep". What better way to be "fat with the love of Jesus" than by listening to worship which exalts His grace?

Satan and the Joker
--From a blog comment (on this post): "The Joker is probably the best personification of Satan that I've seen in ANY movie. His reason for doing things is to corrupt and destroy. And the stronger someone is, the more he desires to see (and cause) them to fall."
Agree or disagree and why?

Permit Me to Address You as Dying Persons
A common phrase from Charles Simeon.
This morning, my uncle died. He suffered an aortic aneurysm several months ago, appeared to recover, then had a stroke yesterday. Unless the Lord returns, we will all join him. Can you approach your deathbed with confidence? If you can, do you live life with the perspective that you will die? Remember, you are a dying person.
