I recently began reading through the Complete Works of T. S. Eliot. Today I read one of his early poems: "Preludes." Its conclusion shows clearly the despair from which Jesus saved him later in his life:
I live my life the way I want to live it, with no reserves, no regrets, and no excuses. I love too many things to list them all but here's a few: my faith, music, art, history, philosophy, Europe, clothes, gaming, and food.
